OUR STORY

Words are amazing! There is nothing you can’t do with the right words. And for as long as I can remember, I’ve been playing word games with family and friends. Sure, we all start out with the ABCs and 123s. Then we move on. We grow and we change.

That change is what sparked the idea for Quillico. Playing traditional tile word games was entertaining. But, I always wanted to move in different directions, turn the tiles sideways or backwards, just to shake things up a bit and have some fun.

There had to be a way to achieve this out-of-the-box freedom. I’m no genius, to be sure, I just knew that the shape of the tiles had to allow for the multidirectional movement. The only way to accomplish this was with an octagon.

With the new Quillico’s tiles, words can now be created going forward, backward, up, down, and diagonally. And with this one simple idea a new game was born.
